Meter Reader

Job Overview:

The Meter Reader plays a vital role in ensuring accurate billing and customer service for our utility company. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading utility meters, recording data, and communicating with customers to resolve any discrepancies or concerns. This position is essential in maintaining the integrity of our billing system and supporting the overall efficiency of our operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular readings of gas, water, and electric meters to ensure accurate billing.

  • Engage with customers to explain the meter reading process and address any inquiries or complaints.
  • Maintain accurate records of readings and customer interactions in the company's database.

  • Assist in the investigation of billing discrepancies and collaborate with the billing department to resolve issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficient in using handheld devices and basic computer software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues or discrepancies encountered during readings.
  • Physical stamina to walk or drive significant distances and carry necessary equipment.
